I was a Republican who switched to a Democrat because of all the reasons in this video! If we had this as the Republican agenda, it would be amazing.
Worth noting that this was BEFORE TRUMP. Trump didn't change the Republican party, the party of Guns; the party of Billionaires; the party of Liars; the party of Racists. They ALL came before Trump. So when you hear the so called "Moderates", the "never Trumpers"; the Romneys and the Schmidts claiming that "Trump corrupted the Republican party", show them this clip and call them what they are: Liars and Deceivers (and possibly self-deceivers)....

The system is broken. We’re given other party options besides Red and Blue but the truth is they never really have a chance of winning. And choosing one of them is seen as “throwing away your vote” so you have to pick a party with the most stances you agree with. Unfortunately doing so tells everyone els that you agree with ALL of that party’s stances, even if it’s not true. It’s unfair to republicans to assume there all homophobic, that there all religious nuts who ignore facts. You might stand for some but that doesn’t mean all. And for the record I hate American politics as a whole but when asked I always say the same, I agree with more democratic views than republican.

It's too bad that this video doesn't show the next scene where Taylor says that ACN showed 14 to 1, negative Republican stories to negative Democrat stories. Will's explanation was that the Democrats don't have the extremist that the Republicans do. Ummm, what??? There are plenty of nut jobs on both sides of the spectrum. And going after Romney, who is and was as middle of the road as they come, with all the stories that Taylor brought up earlier in the episode, showed that ACN New's Night really was just an anti-conservative show

I liked Will McAvoy's character EXCEPT for that time he was TOTALLY disrespectful to McKenzie. Some guy made some crude comments in front of Mackenzie and Will said something TOTALLY DISRESPECTFUL like: "There's a lady present." I am a Christian Jehovah's Witness, but if I was married and doing Bible street witnessing with my husband and a man came up to me and said "You should leave your husband and your religion and have oral sex with me regularly," I would expect my husband to say NOTHING. If someone said to my husband "Are you going to let that man talk like that to your wife?" I would expect my husband to say "Yes. She's an adult. He can ask her to do anything that is legal. If he wants to try to convert her to his promiscuous lifestyle and ask her to leave me, that's his right. I am NOT going to DISRESPECT her by treating her like a child."

My Democrat family has always suspected me of being a closet Republican because I don't automatically hate all of them and their policies, but before now things were not nearly as extreme. What really needs to happen is saner, moderate Republicans need to speak out before they're forever associated with Taliban-style extremism.

Progressive here and God how I wish the GOP could return to its base conservativism instead of this now mainstreamed John Birch Society-level of batshit after almost 30 years of hyperpartisan right wing media influence in post-FCC Fairness Doctrine, Dystopian Trumpland. Conservativism is essential to our two-party system and there was once a time when progressivism and conservativism was prevalent within the membership of both parties. When you can't even agree to a shared setlist of facts, a debate and negotiation for a solution can never be. Can liberals go too far in their sensationalism, PC sanitized language, and thin-skinned sensibilities that would give George Carlin a new skit if he were alive? Oh, yes, but you will find that they do not command the party or its leadership quite like the GOP of today where delusion is so profound that they're protesting in the midst of pandemic due to their persecution complex/siege mentality and gullibility.

Moderate Democrats today are like Rockefeller Republicans, and modern day GOP is more like the extreme Southern Democrats. The two party system is as flawed as the winner takes all electoral college.
44 years ago California was red and Texas was blue in a presidential election. Parties evolve. What used to stay the same however was civility. People are motivated by fear now more than ever. So they vote on God and guns because that's what their barking televisions tell them to do. Misinformation and disinformation are the most underrated weapons of modern times.
I am sitting here in Europe, under lockdown ... but working....and there on the TV is Jimmy Swaggart. Now I grew us as a Christian and my mother still believes. However, this channel (pushing as it does all manner of religious merchandise) is a throw back to a time before science. Why does it exist? I understand the legal arguments, but in a modern society why does it exist? Most advanced nations accept religion, and yet they would never have this.
